First Week of School

I'm going back in time for the next few posts since I just got the blog of the ground and school has already been in session for a few weeks.

These were some of the ice breakers and group activities we did the first week of school.  The children had a lot of fun and seemed to really work together.

We had a classroom scavenger hunt.  The students were separated into groups of two and given a list of numbers.  They had to go around the room, locate each number, and write down what it was.  They laughed a lot!

We also created a "Recipe for Success".   They had to follow the recipe card and then mix it all together.  It was fun and a good way to brush up on some measurement skills.

Heres a copy of the recipe:

Here they are making it.  It was pretty cute!
